In 2009, we brought together nine deaf youth volunteers from Nepal and nine from the UK for a unique experience as part of our Global Xchange partnership with VSO.

The participants lived with host families, worked with local charities and community organisations, and created and performed Sign Language theatre. Participants from Nepal learned British Sign Language in the UK and even developed a Nepali version with National Federation of the Deaf (Nepal).
