When it comes to ultra luxury, Regent Seven Seas are consistently one of the most awarded and unrivalled cruise lines in the world. In fact, so confident are they in this, Regent Seven Seas by their own marketing claim to have ‘The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet’.
All of the dining on board every Regent Seven Seas ship is included in your fare, so it’s just a case of ‘can you fit it all in’ and if you can’t, well, there’s always the option to book a longer cruise?
We spent a whole week on Seven Seas Splendor and we made sure to dine in every venue to bring you our unfettered opinion of every meal we ate and every menu we perused. All three of the current Explorer Class ships - Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Grandeur offer the exact same venues, and the rest of the fleet have them all too except for Pacific Rim, so if you’re planning a voyage on any Regent Seven Seas ship, this guide will be extremely valuable and hopefully as visually indulgent as the cuisine itself.
To help you plan your voyage dining in the best way possible, we will explore every venue and what you can expect, seasoned to perfection with plenty of beautiful imagery of the food you will enjoy.
We have cruise with most of the world’s most luxurious cruise lines and we can confidently proclaim in our opinion that these are the finest ships in the world for gastronomy. There’s only one tiny thing we can criticise on this otherwise perfect culinary experience - will you spot it?
Prepare your eyes for a feast! Please let me accompany you to your table and let’s begin!

![We Small-Ship Cruised Alaska. Is this the best way? PART 2
We spent 11 nights on a small ship exploring the most spectacular coastline on the planet. This is Alaska to Vancouver — and were doing it properly.
Forget the floating apartment blocks. Were on board Windstar Cruises Star Breeze — an elegantly compact ship that gets into hidden fjords, sidles up to calving glaciers, and sneaks into tiny ports the mega-ships can only dream about.
This is Part 2 of our 11-night small ship voyage from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver aboard Windstars Star Breeze — and things are getting properly epic.
In this episode:
🏙️ Juneau — the only US state capital you cant drive to, where bald eagles sit on streetlights and the Red Dog Saloon has been legally recognised as the oldest man-made tourist attraction in town (which tells you everything)
🧊 Tracy Arm Fjord — we didnt make it in. Now we know why. (August 2025. Look it up.)
🇳🇴 Petersburg — Alaskas Little Norway, complete with Viking parades, compulsory herring-throwing, and the worlds largest single-masted yacht inexplicably parked next to us
🐋 The Wrangell Narrows — hundreds of whales. Hundreds. Youll just have to watch.
🦅 Wrangell — four nations, one very underrated town, and a garnet mine run exclusively by children
🌧️ Prince Rupert, Canada — the wettest city in Canada, wolf safety tips in the phone book, and Grenville Channel, which is so beautiful it barely seems real
💥 Seymour Narrows — the underwater mountain that sank 119 ships, and the largest non-nuclear explosion in North American history
Oh, and we also make the case — fairly comprehensively, we think — for why Alaska should always be done by small ship.
🚢 Ship: Windstar Star Breeze (312 guests | all-suite | post-2021 stretch refit)
📍 Route: Seward → Juneau → Tracy Arm → Petersburg → Wrangell → Prince Rupert → Grenville Channel → Seymour Narrows → Vancouver
