The footage of this clip was recorded during a DIMICATOR training session in November 2014. We use various sparring modes with different levels of protective gear, focusing on particular aspects of combat in our fight simulations. Please note that it requires appropriate skill, mutual trust and competent supervision to fence without head protection. In any event, this kind of sparring without any protective gear (albeit with blunt swords here) is very well-suited to train blade awareness, precision and control.
