A new study by Kaspersky Lab has shown a rise in 'Digital STIs -
computer and mobile malware contracted whilst watching adult content.
The study reveals some worrying trends:
- Three in ten adults (30%) have contracted a digital virus after looking at adult content online
- On average, Brits look at adult content on their computer five times per week, with a fifth (20%) using their work device to access porn
- The shame of digital infection has left one in six (17%) blaming other family members or friends as culprits for their computers contracting infections
- A quarter of those surveyed (25%) admitted they didn’t know smartphones and tablets could get infected.
