On 25 November 2025, members of the humanitarian community in Cox’s Bazar – including GBV Sub-Sector partners, GIHA Working Group members, Government of Bangladesh officials, and Rohingya community representatives – came together to launch the 2025 UNiTE Campaign to end digital violence against women and girls in Camp 4 Extension.
The inaugural event, held for the first time in the camps, brought together more than 500 participants and included the launch of a powerful video - “Digital spaces must be safe for all women and girls in Cox’s Bazar” – developed by UN Women with active participation of humanitarian actors and Rohingya and host community members. The video sparked dialogue on the realities of online harm and the urgent need for safer, more empowering digital spaces.
Here are twelve voices from Cox’s Bazar, reflecting the campaign’s call to make digital spaces safe for women and girls and sharing the challenges they face every day in their communities.
