Officials from the federation of Uganda customs agents and freight forwarders have attributed the delays in issuing of digital number plates to the bureaucracy in the ministry of works and transport during the process to verify the type of vehicle, colour and Chassis number.
While appearing before the parliament committee on physical infrastructure, the director general of the federation Ekweru Charles said there are corrupt tendencies in the processes of acquiring the digital number plates although it is difficult to single out the corrupt.
