I had no Idea Hainan could be this much fun!
We started at a local gift shop just outside Lingshui. Cut products from the region to bring home for family
Then straight to Boundary Island. You can Scuba, jet ski, feed fish, and snorkel, all in one stop.
After all that, lunch right on the beach. Fresh, simple, exactly what you want after being in the ocean all day.
From there we headed to Baoting, to the Cultural zone. This is where it got wild. We watched a traditional dance performance we became part of. Then got shown a traditional wedding.
That turned into a full blown celebration. Locals pulled us in to dance. And as the sun went down, they a bonfire and gave a heart warming performance Genuinely one of the best nights of the trip.
We checked into our hotel deep in the rainforest that night. The kind of place where you fall asleep to actual jungle sounds.
Next morning, we trekked through the forest and Found some beautiful old historical artifacts along the trail. We Ended the hike with tea. Simple, quiet, perfect reset after the night before.
Last stop, Ocean Flower Island. Timing could not have been better. We landed right in the middle of the 27th Hainan Island Carnival.
We got to Try food from basically every region of the island in one night. Then the grand finale. Hundreds of people on the main stage. Everyone locking pinkies, dancing in one massive line under the lights. #hainan #china
