Diddy’s second week of trial is now underway, and Dawn Richard has returned to the stand — despite Diddy’s legal team fighting hard to keep her from testifying again. She was grilled about her recollection of a 2009 incident involving Diddy, Cassie, and a skillet. The prosecution didn’t let up, and Dawn appeared clearly ready to wrap things up and move on.
Also taking the stand was Kerry Morgan, Cassie’s best friend of 18 years. Despite no longer being close, Kerry had no problem giving her account of the things she witnessed at the hands of Combs.
Lastly, David James — Diddy’s former assistant — testified. He described Diddy’s unusual demands while traveling, sharing that he sometimes worked 20-hour days for weeks at a time without a break. His testimony was cut short, but it’s expected to continue tomorrow.
Cassie’s mother is also expected to testify this week.
