Following my visit to the Bluebell Railway last week, I made a long-awaited visit back to Didcot Railway Centre for their "Heritage in Motion" event, where a number of their locomotives were in action performing on the demonstration lines and other tasks around the site, including three members of the home fleet and the new-build No. 32424 "Beachy Head" visiting from the Bluebell Railway
Locomotives featured:
- LBSCR H2 No. 32424 "Beachy Head" - from the Bluebell Railway
- GWR 4073 'Castle' Class No. 4079 "Pendennis Castle"
- GWR 5101 'Large Prairie' No. 4144
- Ex-Alexandra Docks Railway No. 1340 "Trojan"
In the morning while travelling up to London, I also caught Merchant Navy No. 35028 "Clan Line" accelerating towards Clapham Junction with the Atlantic Coast Express bound for Exeter.
