We are Carol & Ken and we like touring in our Consort Nova motorhome called Snoopy.
This is Episode 7 of our trip to Wiltshire in December 2024.
We left you on a bit of a cliffhanger in the last episode. Did we stay the night in the Sainsbury’s car park in Melksham or run for higher ground to avoid the floods?
The next stop on our tour is Caen Hill locks, a spectacular, Scheduled Ancient Monument on the Kennet & Avon Canal in Wiltshire, England. Located just west of Devizes, this famous flight of 29 locks raises the canal by 237 feet across two miles. It is celebrated as one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways.
