In discussions about near-death research, it’s sometimes argued that because no hidden targets were reported in the AWARE studies, veridical perception must be false.

But failing to report something you didn’t know to look for isn’t the same as reporting it incorrectly. Methodological distinctions matter — especially in controversial research.
