This article explains from LDS scripture that the Joseph Smith Translation (also known as the JST) was finished by Joseph Smith.
Also it has been shown that Joseph Smith used the Methodist Adam Clarke Bible Commentary as a source for his changes in the JST. Joseph Smith plagiarized other people's work and passed it off as revelations from God.
