Honda VCM problems explained. On this J35Z V6 engine in a 2010 Honda Accord, one cylinder bank shows more wear and tarnish due to Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) shutting down cylinders.
I’m installing a VCM Tuner II to prevent uneven wear and keep the engine running consistently. While I know some engines last over 200k miles, without disabling the VCM I’m not a fan of what I’m seeing.
