I would like to hear you opinion of what went wrong and what would be a better option in that case in order to help educate others about these types of accidents. You can hear my BMW abs engaged slowing me down a large amount. Speeds of the video have not been altered in the first clip.
I was enjoying a afternoon on my beautiful BMW g650 X-Country motorcycle when this video you are watching happened.
In the video you can see the young man in the VW make a un-signalled u-turn over a solid yellow on a highway bridge overpass in front of me.
Regardless of who is at fault my life changed that day forever almost loosing all usage of my right arm. My arm broke in over a dozen spots into dozens and dozens of pieces. After 13 surgeries I have regained some function but forever will be limited and dealing with the pain associated with these types of injuries. It was hard to get back on the motorcycle for a long time without being in fear of my life.
