Former APRO investigator Allan Lavigne revisits the old-school era of UFO field investigation, from his own 1974 Tucson sighting to his work with Jim and Coral Lorenzen, Travis Walton, Betty Andreasson, Charles Moody, Bill Herman, and Jesse Marcel. Lavigne recounts his belief that APRO was positioned near the center of a serious Carter-era UFO disclosure effort involving a Minneapolis UFO museum, a proposed refit of the Bicentennial train, Roswell wreckage, and alien bodies. He also discusses the mysteries around APRO’s funding, Holloman Air Force Base, the Eisenhower UFO rumor, UFOs and nuclear energy, and what he says Marcel told him directly about Roswell debris.

Allan Lavigne is a former investigator for the Aerial Phenomenon Research Organization, where he worked from 1974 to 1980. His later career spanned physical security and intelligence analysis, including work connected to the Joint Terrorist Task Force, FBI, and Homeland Security. Lavigne is also an entertainment artist whose work includes special-effects appliances, masks, and props for NBC’s Project UFO, as well as later work associated with Sony Pictures, Marvel, Disney, and Lucasfilm.
