In this video I briefly talk about an ergodic book Dictée (1982) written by Korean-American author Theresa Hak Kyung Cha.

Theresa was an activist, performance artist, feminist, and author. While it didn't feel appropriate to mention in the video, I will write it here: only a week after the publication of this book she was r*ped and m*rdered in New York by a security guard while she was on her way to meet her husband. She was only 31 years old. This fact adds a little gravitas to the sadness of the central female figures in her work, making the imagery much more powerful and sinister.
