My friends and I were watching a buddy play Diablo 4 since none of us poor bastards can afford to spend $70 on software right now. We got into a bit of an argument as to what happened to the Soul Stone from Diablo 3.
According to this, it was destroyed and its power absorbed by Malthael, the literal Angel of Death. So when you kill death, supposedly, Diablo's soul is released. Interesting.
