Diablo 4 Season 14 is bringing some major changes, but one of them has me worried.
In this video, we’re looking at the latest Diablo 4 news, including the anniversary event, Mother’s Blessing, March of the Goblins, free cosmetics, Season 13’s strong retention, and the upcoming Season 14 PTR. There are some big wins here, including Solo Self-Found, leaderboard rewards, balance changes, skippable Uber Mephisto cutscenes, and quality-of-life improvements.
But the big concern is Mythics 3.0. After Season 13 made uniques more random, Season 14 appears to be taking mythics in a similar direction, and I’m not sure that’s good for Diablo 4’s loot chase.
We’ll also talk about how Blizzard could make Diablo 4 community events more exciting by taking inspiration from Helldivers 2, why post-death monster effects feel so frustrating, and what else needs attention before Season 14 launches.
