Unsurprisingly, some of the demons in the Diablo series started out incredibly weird.
And when Diablo II released in the year 2000, the series didn’t just grow in core mechanics — Hell’s forces grew too, becoming stranger, nastier, and somehow even more creatively disturbing. The developers really “fleshed” them out… and I mean that literally, because there was a very real topless quota during development, which we shall “touch” on soon.
To uncover these hidden gems of grotesquery, we must delicately descend into Diablo II’s bestiary — a catalogue that hides some of the most bizarre, overlooked, and downright cursed entries in the franchise.
