Flying the Beaver back in the 80's as a Young urban bush pilot. This was a corporate airplane and was recognized as the nicest DHC-2 in the world by the people that really knew them. Wipline did a complete restoration on this ship with a no limit budget. Thus was born the "Super Beaver" It was an absolute joy and privilege to fly this machine. I learned to fly floats in this plane,and took my ses check ride in it . The examiners eyes about poped out of her head when we showed up. This plane was eventually sold and was converted to a turbine beaver,(What a Shame). I will always cherish the hours spent in N444FD s/n 1185. Thanks to my dad for shooting this video and recently digging it out and putting it on disc for me. Footage is fromCandelwood Lake Connecticut and Walkill airport NY. Man was I skinny! The young guy in the right seat at the end of the video was a local kid/airport bum that used to help wash planes in exchange for a ride. He is now an airline pilot.
