D.H., short for Deformação Humana (translating to Human Deformation) are a death/thrash band from Brazil. In their debut album, they offer a pretty thrashy vein of deathrash, very akin to their Brazilian peers. Towards the end of the album they start playing with slower tempos and their agression tones down a lil bit, but the first half is pretty much non-stop.

![Captor - Memento Mori [Full Demo - 1992]
Captor were a death/thrash metal band (up tp their Refuse to Die EP, when they changed to groove metal) from Sweden. The band formed in 87, having released 2 demos, 1 EP and 4 full-lengths. As far as I know, they are no longer active.
Musically they sound like a mix between early Death, a bit of the German Deathrow and a tinge of Slayer - but all with a super European deathrash approach. Their technicality is off the charts sometimes, its impressive how they can introduce so many details without losing any of their punch and off-trailing into tech thrash territory.

00:00 - Possessed
05:10 - Vision of Fear
11:10 - Metamorphosis

![Sardonial - Shadows Beyond the Solstice [Full Demo - 1994]
Sardonial were a Canadian death metal band, formed in 1993. They released only 2 demos, this one, being their debut, and a 2nd one in 1996.
Sardonial have clear influences from death/doom a lá Cianide, but mostly go for mid/fast-tempo riffs, closer to Deicide, Sinister or Morbid Angels mid-tempo tremolos. It sounds very similar to the Ossuary - Fallen to the Pits demo, if you guys have ever heard that one.

![Exploding Zombies - Devour the Village [Full Album - 1996]
Ive been looking for this one for a while now and its as as cool as it looks! Exploding Zombies, a brutal death metal band from Michigan, USA, debut album is a great piece of true underground brutal death metal!
Its a 96 brutal release, its hard for it to do anything that hasnt done before, if youve heard any popular 90s brutal death you know what to expect here. Super solid, constant low register cruelty for your ears! For fans of Dying Fetus, Gorelust or Embalmed!

![Soulless - Valley of Unrest [Full Demo - 2002]
Soulless are a Greek death metal band. Formed in 96, the band has released 4 demos, this one being their 3rd. The band is supposedly still active, but havent released anything new since 2009.
Very chunky, high tempo deafening metal. For a demo from the early 2000s, which for my tastes in death metal doesnt have much good music, Valley of Unrest is a damn good find!

00:00 - In Cold Blood
05:44 - Children of Chaos
11:30 - Dominion Conquest

![Mortifix - Darkened Truth [Full Demo - 1992]
Mortifix were an American death/thrash metal band. Formed in 1991, they released Darkened Truth in 92 as their debut demo and later went on to record 3 more demos and their debut LP in 1999. However, the band broke up in 2001.
If you are a fan of hyperfast thrashy death riffs, Mortifix grabs you right from the get go with a raging opener, and they keep that high octane hyperviolence until the very end of the demo. The short breaks they take are no longer than 15 seconds and their tempo never goes lower than a rather speedy mid-tempo. If you like shit like Opprobrium/Incubus, Insanity or Merciless, Mortifix is right up your alley.

00:00 - Darkened Truth
02:57 - Now I Hate

![Absonant Cadence - Dreed the Unknown [Full Demo - 1995]
Absonant Cadence were a Canadian (tech) death metal band. They formed in 1992 and released 2 demos and 1 album, this one being their first release ever.
When I say tech death, I dont mean the modern style of tech death, like Archspire, Spawn of Possession and such bands. I just mean that these guys have really intricate riffs - they start and stop and swirl around, they do a little bit of fret vomit and then go back to chugging a little bit, etc etc... - that are still pretty grounded on mid 90s death metal. Another thing that truly sets these guys apart though is the fact that they dont have a vocalist for this demo! Its 100% instrumental. The technical riffs definitely help that fact go by unnoticed, but when you do notice you cant go back. Its interesting because its so uncommon. Most tracks in this demo would later be re-recorded for their 2nd demo and the debut album and they all include vocals, if thats more of your thing.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Dreed the Unknown
03:55 - Nocturnal Cycle
06:42 - I, Is the End
10:17 - Emergence

![Leprosy - Intellectual Slaughter [Full EP - 2000]
Leprosy were a Greek death metal band, etc etc I wont repeat myself, all the info about the band is in the description of the previous video - instead, have a fact about the band: everything they ever released was self-released, meaning they recorded, funded, paid and distributed all their material without any exterior help.
This one keep their European roots but dwelves a little bit into Americanized influences and a bunch more of melody. Also, symphonic black metal riffs in Darkest Hope (which is probably the bets fitting track title out of them all other than September Black). All in all, this EP is pretty much what if Penetration of the Soul but with more melody.
Tracklist:
00:00 - Killing Instinct
02:44 - Intellectual Slaughter
05:07 - The Stand
09:20 - Darkest Hope

![Abolition Ritual - Dark Visions of Torment [Full Demo - 2021]
Dark Visions of Torment is Abolition Rituals debut necrotic passage into the unknown.
In just over 16 minutes, Abolition Ritual made some of the biggest sounding, fuzziest and despairing death/doom for the entire year - and when I say doom I mean fucking doom. Their music rarely ever touches on mid-tempo riffs, let alone fast-tempo. They make you feel like you are chained to the bottom of the ocean, drowning in all of your horrors. What about their high-tempo riffs, you ask? Well, youll have to listen to it for yourself, because the band absolutely nails the contrast between their sluggish and thundering riffs.

![Encrypted - Sin My Soul [Full Demo - 1999]
Encrypted are a brutal death metal band from Puerto Rico. The band formed in 1998 and in their original run until 2001 they released this demo and an EP, Drifting to the Impaled in 2001. They later returned in 2014, released a live album and, as far as its known, theyre still out there playing shows.
No frills broots, straight to the point and with 2 samples to open and close the demo with. That snare was getting a beating throughout the whole demo, good for it that its a very short release.

![Mastroyany - Sarcasmus [Full Demo - 1994]
Mastroyany were a Czech death metal band. Formed in 1994, theyve only released 2 demos, Sarcasmus being their first one.
The opening track to this demo is almost misleading since its essentially a deathgrind song while the rest of the demo is straight forward death metal. I have just one complain about this: the samples kinda suck :/ theyre not interesting at all and break the pace built by the songs - specially when you have tracks like The Northen Czech that are 8min long with really varied passages, from straight foward to slow and melodic, and then have this weird sample about nothing before the following track... Which is almost deathgrind again? Ok man, the pacing of this demo is all over the place, fuck it. No one does weird like the Czech, man....
Tracklist:
00:00 - Sarcasmus
01:39 - Return of the Undesirable
