* I listed the contest as 2019, since that is when it will go into effect.*
We had a lot of fun hosting this last time and are looking forward to doing it again. Due to lack of participation, we probably wont host it again- at least for a while. The winners submissions will be our new banner + icon starting January 1, 2019, and they will be credited in our channel description.
Rules:
- Anyone can participate, including DGS members.
- We ask that you do submit both a banner and an icon (that way theyre a matching set).
- Banner must include DisneyGenerationStudio, and Icon must include DGS. These will be used only on the DGS channel, so please do not upload them to your personal channel.
- Any style is fair game- just keep it PG. You can follow the theme of old banners and icons if youd like, or create a new one. Just keep it Non/Disney.
- If you do a crossover/manip style banner or icon, it must be your own masking.
- If fanart is used, you must give us the name of all artists so that they can be properly credited on our channel.
- Please post your submission in the comment section of this video, and upload your designs to a file sharing site like sendspace, mediafire, etc.
- Banners and Icons must be in the correct dimensions, so please research what they should be before submitting. Below is a download link for a Channel Art Banner Template.

2018 has been a great year of editing so far, and we cant wait to see what else we can do. We are opening auditions once again to find more passionate, motivated editors to join our team! Rules and info are listed below, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us and well get back to you as soon as were able.
RULES/ETC ABOUT THE GROUP:
- To remain an active member, we ask that you participate in a minimum of just 1 MEP a month. If even this isnt possible and youre going through a time of inactivity but still wish to remain a part of the group, thats fine! You can message me (MichonElise), Tami (xPhiloSophiex), or Naomi (quiirkie) about it.
- BE TIMELY. One thing that we are so proud of this group for is how active we usually are, and how quickly and consistently we are getting projects done and up. Our idea of a dying project is 3-6 months old! (Depending on recent activity with it and level of theme difficulty.) We like to keep the projects rolling. If youre late and we dont hear from you, your part will be replaced shortly after the deadline, or you will be nicely pestered :P
- Please, even if you cant stay active (unless specific reasons), sign onto the forum at least a few times per month just to check in.
- Absolutely no bullying, discrimination, etc. It will not be tolerated. We are a group of individuals of all different backgrounds, beliefs and opinions - and we need to respect that.
- It is primarily a non/disney editing group, but we do have occasional anime, live action, etc MEPs when the editors vote for it. Theme-wise we can be a fairly diverse group, so even if you rarely edit disney, I would still strongly urge you to try auditioning :) We can also help you get disney footage if you need it. Just expect that most of our projects will be non/disney theme!
... Those are the main rules you need to consider before auditioning. All other little rules will be covered on the forum!
AUDITION DETAILS:
We will accept submissions throughout the entire month of June (ends June 30th)! We will try to get you a results video posted as soon as possible after that, hopefully some time during the first week of July.
***THERE IS NO AUDITION VIDEO NEEDED; so PLEEEASE do not post links to a video youd like to audition with. It stops comments from automatically going through and keeps things messy (if you made a video specifically for these auditions, please just let us know at the end of your comment and we will take note of it). We will check out your entire channel- thats how our auditions are done, because we want to look at all aspects of your editing. We dont think that your style and level of editing can be summed up in one video. We do try to focus on things you have posted most recently, as this is the most current representation of your skill level. So if you havent uploaded anything in a year or so but have been editing, we suggest uploading some things!
All you need to do to audition is comment ON THIS VIDEO ONLY ON THIS DGS CHANNEL (PMs/etc will not be accepted, it gets confusing.) with the following info- the structure is as follows-

*NOTE: If you feel uncomfortable giving out some of this information, then you dont need to tell us. But we do ask for a reason, and wont share it with anyone outside of the studio of course. :)
*** After the results video is posted, we will reach out to each of you individually to acknowledge that you have made it in. A PM will be sent to each of your YT inboxes, and we will also respond here in the audition video to your Audition Comment. That way if the PM doesnt send, well have sent it two different ways! So in the first week of July, be sure to check your PM inbox and your comment notifications (and our channel of course for the results video!) regularly :3
