Devon Miles is driving the Pennington Ascot Regency when he is rear-ended by a young woman named Carrie. While they argue, thieves steal the Pennington. Devon calls Michael Knight for help. Later, at the Foundation's mobile unit, April briefs Michael and Devon on a rash of similar thefts targeting custom cars near car shows. They plan to enter K.I.T.T. into the Barton Springs show as bait.
