After meeting up with our kids who flew in from NorCal, we decided to do arguably the most popular hike in Sedona, Devils Bridge, starting from Mescal Trailhead. It's a relatively easy hike with about 4.5 miles and 550ft elevation gain. We enjoyed the views along the way, and the scrambling at the end to get up to the bridge was pretty easy. The main challenge was the crowd, but luckily when we got there around mid day, the line to take a photo on the bridge was only about 15 mins. After having our pictures taken, we quickly headed back down to the trailhead in less than 1hr.
After a quick lunch, we went for our second hike of the day, Doe Mountain (2.5miles/600' gain). We didn't see nearly as many folks on this hike compared to Devils Bridge, and once above the mesa, we were greeted with magnificent views of Sedona. We proceeded to finish the loop around the mesa, and enjoyed different vantage points along the way. We finished the hike while the sun was setting. Doe Mountain is one of our favorite hikes in Sedona
