An under-represented art form known as De'VIA, or Deaf-View Image Art, is now on exhibit at the University of New England Art Gallery in Portland. De'VIA  expresses the Deaf experience and culture, and the show at UNE is both a response to the loss of four Deaf men in the 2023 Lewiston mass shooting as well as an effort to broaden understanding of Maine's Deaf community.
