While many people recognise the positive impact of engaging in sport and/or physical activity on their physical and mental well-being, research indicates that participation can also equip us with valuable skills that enhance our employability. Engaging in sport and physical activity provides opportunities to develop a diverse skill set that can be transferred to the workplace. This free course, Developing employability through sport and physical activity, offers a valuable opportunity to explore how the cultivation of ‘soft’ or ‘employability’ skills through sport can contribute to career development and advancement.

In this course, the term 'sport' is frequently used. However, it is important to understand that this term is broad and encompasses all types of physical activities you may participate in. It is not limited to what might be perceived as traditional or purely competitive sports.

The course primarily targets individuals in the early stages of their careers or those still pursuing their studies before transitioning into their desired professions. By delving into the course, you will gain insightful knowledge on how to harness and augment the skills acquired through sports to maximise your employability and propel your career forward.
