Join Microchip’s Wizard of Make Bob Martin as he follows the path of taking an existing soil moisture sensor system based on LoRa RF technology and introduces an LTE-M based solution using the Microchip AVR-IoT Cellular Mini development board (EV70N78A) and the IoTConnect Web service from Avnet. This session will cover all aspects of the design from the initial requirement specification to the final implementation of the data dashboard on the web.
This 1-hour webinar will include:
- Configuring the Arduino environment to use the AVR-IoT Cell Mini
- Integrating the sensor array into the main application
- Introduction to the LTE-M modem Arduino library
- Provisioning the AVR-IoT for secure Azure / AWS connections
- Creating a new device and associated dashboard on the IOTConnect web interface
Featured hardware and software:
- AVR-IoT Cellular Mini
- Avnet IoT Connect
Other hardware used in this webinar includes:
- Telaire T9602 IP67 Harsh Environment Humidity & Temperature Sensor
- Telaire T6713 CO2 Sensor Module Introduction to the LTE-M modem Arduino library
- Adafruit MS8607 Pressure Humidity Temperature PHT Sensor - STEMMA QT / Qwiic
- Adafruit STEMMA Soil Sensor I2C Capacitive Moisture Sensor - JST PH 2mm
