At the AI Engineer World Fair, a former director of Google Cloud AI drew a line that's going to matter more and more as AI lowers the barrier to building.

Anyone can become a developer now — the tools are fast, the feedback loops are short, and the models do a lot of the heavy lifting. But when systems fail, an engineer is the person held accountable. That distinction is becoming the new hiring filter.

The takeaway from Day 3: explain it or don't ship it. If you can't articulate what your system does and why it does it, you shouldn't be putting it in front of users.
