A 93-acre property just behind the former Big Lots building on Business 29 could soon become the site of a major data center development.

Developer Old Dominion Capital Partners LLC has submitted plans to build a new data center on the property. According to the plans, the project would include five data center buildings, an electric substation, 300-plus parking spaces, and sit on roughly 40 acres of the lot.
