named for the genre of hyperart thomasson, "pure staircase" is an anxiously positive, slightly downtrodden exploration of happiness leading nowhere and imminent mortality. on this record, the "DOWNLOAD" alias undergoes a contemplative transformation, incorporating tape loops and analog synthesis into the usual setup of guitar pedal feedback.
this is the first record of substance that i've made almost fully away from the computer, and it's been a wonderful learning experience that has changed my approach to sound completely. please look forward to the release, which should be very soon.

the second-to-last of my vinyl presses (likely will not be doing any in the future for quality control and environmental reasons; the lack of oversight on these things is pretty outrageous), this collects a bunch of favorites that i released under the Renard name over the course of, well, forever. and a couple other things, too.
this one was vinyl-exclusive for most of its existence and i believe was only released to patrons digitally up to now (i could be wrong, my memory for this kind of stuff is comically poor), but ive attached MP3 and FLAC encodes of the master files for everybody to enjoy.
