For all of us who love the outdoors, there was likely a first eye-opening experience with nature that sparked our interest. Sierra Club works to make sure that children and youth get the opportunity to have those experiences.
This summer, Detroit Outdoors took a group of Detroit high school students to Yosemite National Park. There they spent time with Ranger Shelton Johnson – also from Detroit – along with Full Circle Everest’s Phil Henderson to explore the park, learn more about its history, hike, climb, and share in the joy outdoors together.
