The Rotted Woods are probably Elden Ring: Nightreign's most unique Shifting Earth location. There's not really a set route or endpoint for it, and instead you want to get its blessing on Day 1 so you have it early. Then on Day 2, you come back to the woods for a Formidable Boss Gauntlet-- and if you know where to look, you can maximize your runes and loot.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

- Something I completely forgot to mention: taking the spectral hawk from the northwest corner of the map (the one which goes right over the woods) is a great way to scout the east and northwest blessing spawns. If you look closely you can spot the glowing flower while riding the bird, and so that can save you a bunch of time.
