Prof. Višeslav Simić: Yugoslavia Was Engineered to Fail
In this interview, Professor Višeslav Simić argues that the breakup of Yugoslavia wasn't a spontaneous ethnic explosion—it was deliberately orchestrated by the US State Department and the EU. Their goal? To foment violence among nationalities and balkanize the country into small, weak states that could be easily controlled.
Simić dismisses Slobodan Milošević as a communist pawn who tried to play the West's game and lost. Far from being the architect of the conflict, Simić claims Milošević was a convenient scapegoat.
He also attacks the ICTY in The Hague, alleging the tribunal couldn't prove its charges against Milošević and ultimately "killed" him for political reasons. Simić calls these institutions "kangaroo courts"—and warns that the same model of selective justice is now being exported to the West.
The precedent set in the Balkans, he says, is coming home.
