The American chauvinist left (the 'HR left' or 'Hall Monitor left') weaponizes identity politics & therapy speak to try and shut down anti-imperialist politics, via practices like insisting that you have no right to hate as the oppressed do unless you are oppressed yourself - treating said oppressed like incompetent children in the process, and discouraging solidarity with them. This leads to practices like those that FD Signifier, Inc., a million-dollar media company, engage in, like encouraging people to vote for Kamala Harris while she does genocide.
