Iron Banner is PCool. Except when you get triple capped and then dunked on for 1 million years. The SBMM in Iron Banner is real weird. It's supposed to make the matches close, but I ended up with a LOT of mercies on both ends. I think the laylist being Light Level enabled might be part of the problem, but its potentially also the "lockdown" mechanic where the team with the momentum can stagger your team hard and then triple their score.
Of course, the opposite is true in terms of comebacks, so it's nice and confusing coming to grips with the fact that the lobbies are "sweatier" because they have a higher concentration of good players, but the matches still end up being blowouts on average more so than quickplay with no SBMM. Very peculiar stuff.
