Destiny 2's Lore and Story from Edge of Fate brings Maya Sundaresh's story into focus thanks to the Desert Perpetual Raid. In particular it tells us about her ultimate goals regarding Earth, Chioma Esi and The Nine. In the process I think we also learn that Maya might be at the heart of the future "Alchemist" expansion coming to the fate saga over a year from now.
