Short version summary of this whole bit: Glass is a bad modifier because it lowers health without a perceivable advantage to counter-balance it, Iron is a bad modifier because it diminishes the deliberate design of weapon impact and exacerbates the problems caused by a two-primary weapon system, and grounded is a bad modifier because it discourages a major element of what makes Destiny a unique game (double jumping). Nightfall strikes make much more sense to design as an activity that's supposed to be difficult so the punishing modifiers belong there whereas heroic strikes are where people might naturally wander just to play the game, but the current modifiers just sabotage their current fun factor. It's bass ackwards.
In the future, modifiers should be designed to be fun first, and challenging afterwards. More can be said about that but we'll just leave that open ended for the time being enjoy the video.
