After moving my desk setup upstairs and ordering a custom made worktop, my new base was ready and now it was time to make it cozy and functional.
First, I threw the temporary carpet out and got an actual office carpet. It already looks better. Then, I added a desk pad for the keyboard and touchpad and now I could finally mount my microphone arm again, that had been laying around in the basement since the house move last year because It wasn’t possible to mount it on the previous desk.
Once I got the microphone in place, It was time to set up my new LED light which I was really excited about. I decided to go with the Elgato Key Light, because It had the option to control it from the Stream deck which I love.
Lastly, I unpacked my new book “The Art of Focus” by Dan Koe and speaking of focus, now it’s time to get to work so that I can afford to continue updating this desk setup. Because this is just the beginning.
