welcome back to my channel. and it it's your first time, welcome! i'm claudia, an actress living in vancouver, and i make journaling and lifestyle content! π
today's video is one i've been eagerly wanting to make for awhile. i've never had a desk setup that i bought and built myself before so, this required a video to commemorate the occasion!
before, i used my mom's spare bench/shoe rack (lol) as a table because i enjoy sitting on the ground. but with the things i have, i needed an efficient organization system. you know - free of clutter, easy to look at, inviting to be working in. so, i knew i needed to invest in an actual desk and chair. having this set up will further increase my productivity and concentration. so, off to ikea!
i think the items i bought at ikea turned out better than expected! i have two drawers, a little shelving unit, and a comfy + aesthetically pleasing swivel chair! yay. π₯³
i hope you enjoy my minimalist desk setup and organization. i decorated my wall with some pretty pictures, keeping a limited colour palette so, it's easy on the eyes. i barely have anything on my desk: no pen holder, stationery supplies etc, this is because i want my desk to be crisp clean and minimal. i find that my surroundings can affect my mental state so i needed to have it as blank (but not bland) as possible. especially when my room is quite TINY!
i hope enjoy this video as much as i enjoyed doing this desk makeover / desk transformation and setup!
