GT Woodshop | Designing and Cutting Catch All Trays / Drop Trays. Part 1 - Experiments with VCarve Pro @GTWoodshop | Uploaded December 2022 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
Getting Creative with VCarve Pro.

This is part 1 of 2.

I've got some spare time before Christmas celebrations begin so I've decided to have some fun with my CNC and with V Carve Pro in particular.

I've wanted to try making some of these catch all trays for a while, so I figure I'll give these a try first.

This video is not meant to be a tutorial however I have narrated the steps I've taken in V Carve Pro so you can follow along if you want to make them as well.

I'll be using approaches that I know / think will work, I'm sure there are better ways but I've not found them as yet.

Tools / approaches / techniques used.
Importing graphics.
Converting to Vectors.
Node Editing.
Combing shapes, rectangles / squares / ellipses.

Tool Paths.
Pocket Toolpath
Profile Tool path
Engraving Toolpath
Moulding Toolpath
