Isabella Tejada is the first internationally- renowned fashion designer with Down Syndrome.

Twenty-year-old Isabella grew up in Guatemala. She was inspired by her grandmother, who's also a designer. Isabella always knew she wanted to study fashion, but says she was rejected by two schools because of her condition. Nonetheless, she persevered.

Isabella's brand is called Down to Xjabelle. Her designs are inspired by Guatemalan national folklore. Isabella's work was showcased at London Fashion Week in 2016, and she made the BBC's list of 100 inspirational and influential women. Isabella says she's never seen Down Syndrome as a setback, and that she wants to be a role model for other young people.
