Wood Splitting machine is useful project for Mechanical Final year BE / B tech as well as Diploma Students . This machine is mainly used for splitting the already cut round wooden small section which further used for fire , cooking , construction purposes . Firstly wood is cut into small pieces with help of saw or electric Cutter . Then after this small rounded section are inserted into wood pusher and cutter by operator ( human ) one by one .
In this Project Motor is power source . Motor is connected with gearbox . Gearbox output shaft is connected with crack . Crack is made up of ms Steel plated bended as shown in video. Further this crack connected to pusher which pushes wood against cutter . Guide ways are bolted with pusher to ensure horizontal movement of pusher with respect to frame . Frame is made up of mild steel Tube section 30 x 30 x1.5 mm thickness.
