I had a lot of fun making and playing this one, but I can see this level going either way for others. I tend to dislike a lot of wind stages because they're often either slow paced or focus almost exclusively on technical challenges. Additionally too many hard balloon stages are just precision navigation with little concern for situational awareness. This levels attempts to address both of those issues. Because of the scrolling screen and balloon Mario's free movement, the wind can act as a proper obstacle instead of a timer where you have to sit and wait to make a tough jump. And while this level is still fairly precise, far more attention must be paid to the boos and mechakoopa projectiles, leading in my opinion to more thoughtful movement instead of just threading the needle between grinders and spikes.
Also, people familiar with my submitted version of Cackling Carnival from Rakugaki Mario may also recognize a few references to that stage. This level has a similar use of boo rings in an autoscrolling night stage and, as a more explicit reference, uses a low timer to stress the player near the end, even if the timer has no practical danger. Thankfully this level is not QUITE as difficult, assuming you can handle balloon Mario's somewhat awkward controls.
