Cycling the world - Asia: episode 26
I wake up behind a mosque in Al Jubail where I quietly camped for the night and ride towards Dammam. There I am welcomed by a generous host who makes me try a long list of local dishes and convinces me to slow down for a few days. After that I continue to Al Khobar, where things take a different turn. My host drives me across the border to party in Bahrain and I end up staying almost two weeks to rest, reset and fix my bike. I tighten my cassette, stock up on discounted tortellini from a supermarket offer and get ready to roll again.
With fresh legs and a bag full of tortellini, I head towards the largest oasis in the world. Somewhere between sand and silence I find a camping spot between two dunes and cook tortellini in the desert as this endless journey continues.
