Descent RAY TRACED | Path Traced Global Illumination

Descent is now available in path traced glory! A group of students from Breda University of Applied Sciences have added ray tracing to this old classic. The mod features path traced global illumination.

Gameplay was in 1440p.

$DirectStorage Sample Measures Performance Impact Of Rendering & Streaming Assets At The Same Time This DirectStorage sample was developed by AMD. The DirectStorage sample application renders a scene while asynchronously loading assets. A camera moves through a scene into bounding boxes which trigger asynchronous streaming of the assets. The assets appear once they have completed loading.
