On this episode of Café con Felo, Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez speaks with Deputy Mayor of Health and Human Services Helen Arteaga. Dr. Arteaga has been in this role since January of 2026. Previous to this, she was the CEO of Elmhurst Hospital, helping manage the hospital's staff and patients through the COVID-19 pandemic and helping to secure millions of dollars for the hospital. Previous to this appointment, she started the Plaza del Sol Family Health Center in Corona, Queens. She is also a graduate of the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy.
