**PLEASE READ ME**
This is my life. This is part of who I am, and even though it isn't glamorous or beautiful, it is me. In my prose, I mention the "spirit of depression". This is a concept that I first encountered in Terence Ward's book Empty Cauldrons. I am still on the fence about categorizing my depression as a spirit, but through conversation with friends, I have come to understand how it can be helpful in 'othering' the Depression I live with. This is not necessarily an occult concept, nor do I believe that mental illness is caused by an actual spirit. I also understand the way I speak about my depression here is not going to ring true for everyone else and I respect that. Please respect my thoughts as well.

Im reading Thorn Mooneys new book, The Witchs Path, and its already sparking some thoughts for me. When I talk about my ego getting in the way of my growth, Im talking about looking down on certain practices, disregarding them as too woo woo or New Age or just outright not good. But that can turn into a problem, especially when we stagnate in our practice and seem like we have nowhere else to go.
