Deponia is a 2012 graphic adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment which tells the story of Rufus, a self-centered layabout who is dead set on getting off of his junk planet Deponia in favor of starting a new life on Elysium, a floating city. When an Elysian falls down to Deponia, Rufus resolves to return her home but in the process learns of a nefarious plot by some to destroy Deponia.
In part 1, we spend the largest chunk of Deponia in Kuvaq, Rufus' home city. After a shoddy attempt to reach Elysium via a "rocket", Rufus meets Goal, a fallen Elysian, and must deal with the other inhabitants of Kuvaq to extricate her from the city.
