The NASCAR All-Star Race was in Dover for the first time and the format was… bizarre. All 36 cars started the race but there was some inverts and average finishes to be had first. Multiple big crashes in segment one took out all-star locks Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and others. We saw eight cars that would’ve been considered “open” in previous formats in the main race due to locks being out. Despite it all, Denny Hamlin dominated the day and won his second career All-Star race and is $1 million richer.
