I believe this general consensus is that this is the best boss in Demon's Souls, even though it's primarily a lore boss. I don't fully agree but I do love this boss. You've been going through killing demons for their souls this whole time. Now you meet someone who is protecting the lost and wretched, calling you a pillager. It's a big twist on your circumstances.
Also Garl Vinland is a badass. But I just parry him and spam R1 on him. This weapon is still so powerful.
Maybe the astute will notice, or not, but something seems different. "Your character is different, your name is different. What happened?" Well, I actually already killed her after Dirty Colossus. I just, uh, didn't record. So I started a new character and cheated through the game and got back to her within an hour. It was super annoying, but I love this fight and want it on the channel.
